Sozcu daily of Turkey publicized the list of the country’s 20 most scenic spots. 

The list includes the ancient Armenian Surb Kach (Holy Cross) Church on Akhtamar Island on Lake Van, the monuments of the Armenian pagan gods in Nemrut, and the high scenic valleys of Hamshen.   

Sozcu’s list also incorporated Dogubeyazit’s (Daroynk, in Armenian) 18th century Ishak Pasha Palace, which was built by Armenian masters; the City of Mardin, whose chief architect and the architect of the city’s most important historic buildings was Armenian Sarkis Lole; Artvin Province’s Karagol Lake, which is surrounded by a beautiful nature; and the mushroom-shape hills of Cappadocia.
