YEREVAN. – The OSCE monitoring on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan revealed no ceasefire violations.

The monitoring was conducted on Tuesday, and in the direction of Aygepar (Armenia’s Tavush Region) and Alibeyli (Azerbaijan’s Tovuz Region) villages.

A visual communication was established between the monitoring teams from a distance of 450 meters.

From the Armenian side the monitoring was conducted by Khristo Khristov and Jiri Aberle, field assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.

However, residents of bordering Armenian villages of Shamshadin Region welcomed OSCE representatives with complaints. The local residents told field assistants that Azerbaijani side intensifies fire before and after OSCE monitoring.For example, on Monday evening Azerbaijani side opened intensive fire starting from approximately 6 p.m. and up to midnight.
