YEREVAN. – Ambassador Ashot Kocharyan on Tuesday met with President Michel Sleiman of Lebanon. 

The parties conferred on the avenues to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries, and stressed the importance of close collaboration between them within international organizations, the Armenian MFA press service informed.

Ambassador Kocharyan conveyed to President Sleiman Armenia’s deep concern over the events taking place in and around Syria’s predominantly Armenian-populated town of Kessab.

The interlocutors also discussed regional matters.

At the end of the talk, the Lebanese president asked the Armenian ambassador to convey his warm greetings to President Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia.
