YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party will kick off its General Assembly (GA) on Friday in Tsaghkadzor city, Hraparak daily reported.

“According to Hraparak’s sources, [ARF Dashnaktsutyun National Assembly Faction Head] Armen Rustamyan will maintain his status as representative of the [ARF] Supreme Body.

“According to our information, [however,] ARF will not enter into the [next] coalition [government], as well.

“At present, the [ARF] comrades are already working on the GA resolution, to be adopted in Tsaghkadzor, which must specify [that] they are not a part of the coalition but, for the sake of the state and nation, they adopt a constructive approaches in solving the country’s problems.

“Incidentally, ARF has made this decision not solely to save face, but to evade the discontent of the [ARF] diaspora organizations, which are categorically against entering into the coalition,” Hraparak wrote.
