YEREVAN. – Armenia’s new Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan “will do nothing good for the people.”

Opposition People’s Party Chairman Tigran Karapetyan stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Monday.

“I was predicting that Hovik Abrahamyan would be [the new PM]. They [i.e., the authorities] give a chance to each other. [President] Serzh Sargsyan gave the government, and he is thinking about his [remaining] three years [of tenure], so he may govern without a calamity and go.

“There will be nothing good for the people. The president has decided [on the new PM] without listening to the people’s view,” Karapetyan stated.

On April 3, Tigran Sargsyan resigned from, and on April 13, Hovik Abrahamyan was appointed to, the post of Prime Minister of Armenia.
