Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Armenia discussed bilateral relations during a meeting in Minsk on Monday.

Vladimir Makei noted that Belarus highly appreciates the existing friendly ties with Armenia, BELTA reported. He was satisfied with the level of the political dialogue and the dynamics of bilateral contacts at various levels which indicates the open nature of relations between the two countries.

“Although the countries stepped up cooperation in the last few months, it is not the level we can reach. Our task is to determine new avenues, new projects that will add greater dynamics to cooperation,” the agency quotes Makei.

In turn, Edward Nalbandian also mentioned the growing dynamics of relations in the last few years. He said the countries should take more efforts to find new ways for cooperation.

Referring to last year's visit of Belarus President to Armenia, Minister Nalbandian said it is necessary to discuss how the instructions the presidents had given are being fulfilled and discuss the progress in implementing the decisions the presidents had made to further the bilateral relations.
