YEREVAN. – Representatives from five of Armenia’s six National Assembly (NA) factions have come to participate in the meeting with newly appointed Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, and with respect to the mandatory component of the new law on funded pensions. 

The Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed the abovementioned.

Representatives from the ruling Republican Party, non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia (PAP), and opposition Heritage, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) NA Factions just entered the Government building, our reporter informed. 

But there is no representative from the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Faction.

“Hovik Abrahamyan has called for us to offer to discuss the matter of the mandatory component of the new law on funded pensions. We will offer our [respective] positions, and our view has not changed,” PAP NA Faction Secretary Naira Zohrabyan told reporters before entering the building.    

Acting Labor and Social Affairs Minister Artem Asatryan also is participating in the talk, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed. The meeting began at noon.
