YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan introduced newly appointed Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan to the staff of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.

First, the PM thanked now former Economy Minister Vahram Avanesyan for the joint work and collaboration, and noted that Avanesyan will have to continue making use of his knowledge and knowhow for Armenia’s development, the Government press service informed.

“I find that Mr. Chshmarityan’s appointment is appropriate. He has worked in the Government and the National Assembly for many years. I am convinced that his experience and knowledge will help solve the problems facing our country.

“The tasks put before each minister are clear, and they need to continue all the reforms that are being implemented. We expect greater energy and effort so we may surmount, with joint efforts, the problems facing our country, [our] economy,” Abrahamyan said.  

The PM also congratulated Karen Chshmarityan on his appointment and wished him productive work.
