YEREVAN. – Lithuania wants peace and stability in relations with neighbors, including Russia, Defense Minister Juozas Olekas said in Yerevan.

The Lithuanian Minister recalled that NATO and Russia have been working for a long time, but currently the part of programs is frozen. Noting Lithuania's aspiration for peaceful settlement of Ukrainian crisis, Olekas admitted that NATO increased troops in the Baltic region.

At the same time Minister Olekas told reporters that Lithuania stands for deepening cooperation with the Eastern Partnership member states. He recalled that Lithuania has been a member of the Alliance for over 10 years.

“Our relations with NATO helped to improve the armed forces, and we want to share the experience with Armenia,” he said.
