YEREVAN. – Armenian Defense Minister said the relations between Armenia and NATO are stable, and all obligations and agreements with the Alliance are in force.

“We will implement the planned events till the end,” Seyran Ohanyan said during a joint media conference with Lithuanian counterpart Juozas Olekas.

Asked whether tension between West and Russia may affect relations with Armenia, as an ally of Russia, the Minister said that Armenia's position is that conflicts must be settled peacefully. Seyran Ohanyan noted that Armenia  knows from experience the need to implement international standards,  namely non-use of force or  threat of force, and creates the appropriate conditions to maintain truce and force adversary to observe the ceasefire.

As to cooperation with Russia, Minister Ohanyan assured it is longstanding and stable. He believes West-Russia tensions will not affect military and technical cooperation.
