The United States hope for possibility of meeting between Armenian Azerbaijani presidents in the near future.

U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar said the meeting may be either in formal or informal format.

As a co-chairing country of the OSCE Minsk Group, the U.S. is very active in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

“The presidents of the two countries should meet regularly in order to take concrete steps to resolve the conflict. It is very important. They may hold both formal and informal meetings,” Morningstar told reporters.
