On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Iranian Armenians staged a protest Thursday outside the Turkish Embassy in Tehran, Hyeli.com reported.

Iranian parliament’s Armenian MP Karen Khanlarian delivered remarks in front of the embassy. He noted that even though the Turkish PM’s address to the Armenians can be considered a “positive” step to some extent, it cannot meet the Armenian people’s demands.

The primate of the Iran Diocese of the Armenian Church also spoke at the event. Condemning Turkey’s crimes, he noted that the truth cannot be concealed because, ultimately, justice will prevail.

Following the remarks, the resolution of the day was read; this resolution is a demand that Iran and the rest of the world recognize and condemn the Armenian Genocide.

At the end of the rally, the resolution was handed to the Turkish embassy.
