YEREVAN. – President Ronald Reagan's comments on Armenian Genocide were effective, he named the events “the first genocide of the twentieth century”, Congressman Ed Royce said in Yerevan on Friday.

The reason for Congressional delegation's trip to Armenia was to honor memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.

Noting Armenian community's significant role, Royce said Armenian Genocide is covered in the American textbooks. 

The members of Congressional delegation visited Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims on Thursday.
