YEREVAN. – Sedrak Osipyan, who is charged with stabbing Armenian capital city Yerevan resident Vanush Aleksanyan, will come to the police when “special actions are taken.” 

Kromvel Grigoryan, the attorney of Sedrak Osipyan—who is the nephew of Yerevan Deputy Chief of Police Valeri Osipyan—, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Grigoryan, however, did not specify what “actions” he was speaking about.

On June 3, the court had ruled that Sedrak Osipyan be arrested, and he is wanted.     

The aforesaid stabbing had occurred after an argument and an ensuing fight on the night of June 1 in Yerevan. As a result, Vanush Aleksanyan, 22, was taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery. According to the Police, the stabber is Yerevan Deputy Police Chief Valeri Osipyan’s nephew Sedrak Osipyan, 22. Valeri Osipyan, however, had told Armenian News-NEWS.am that his relative has nothing to do with the stabbing.
