YEREVAN. – The juvenile delinquency rate in Armenia has dropped in the first half of this year, as compared to the same period last year. 

Nelli Duryan, the head of Armenia Police Department on Protection of Minors’ Rights and Combating Domestic Violence, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Monday. 

Duryan also noted that the cases of juvenile theft, drug use, hooliganism, and causing bodily injuries have dropped, whereas the number of weapon possession has increased.     

But no cases of sex trafficking were recorded.

Nelli Duryan assured that preventive work and turns of duty are still in progress.
