YEREVAN. – The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs held separate talks in Brussels with FMs Edward Nalbandian and Elmar Mammadyarov of Armenia and Azerbaijan, respectively, Aravot daily reported.

“In fact, the co-chairs could not even set up a Nalbandian-Mammadyarov meeting.

“In the meantime, there was talk about the French president’s proposal to set up a [Armenian President Serzh] Sargsyan-[Azerbaijani President Ilham] Aliyev meeting in Paris.

“In the [co-chairs’ respective] statement it is said that during the separate meetings [with the FMs], they stressed the importance of the meetings between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. They also discussed the chances for meetings within the framework of the UN General Assembly in New York [City].

“So, we can assume that a Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting cannot be set up in Paris,” Aravot wrote.
