The Russian court has sentenced Azerbaijani Orhan Zeynalov to 17 years in jail for killing a resident of Moscow Yegor Shcherbakov.
During the oral statements of the parties, the prosecution asked to sentence Zeinalov to 18 years in maximum-security penal colony, ITAR-TASS reported.
The murder provoked unrest in one of Moscow districts in 2013. Zeynlov was drunk when he provoked a conflict with 25-year-old resident of the Russian capital on October 10, 2013.
The convict was fined for around $84.8 thousand in favor of the victim’s parents.
