YEREVAN. – Within the framework of the theory of possible investments in Armenia, the Russian Rosneft company is interested in the potential prices of the thermal energy of Yerevan Thermal Power Plant (TPP).

Yerevan TPP CJSC CEO Hovakim Hovhannisyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Rosneft is interested in the prices of our [thermal] heat [which is necessary for the activities of Yerevan’s Nairit chemical rubber plant]. [But] I don’t know what they will decide,” Hovhannisyan added.

Since Nairit is not operating, the TPP’s new energy unit operates in a condensed mode.

“There are other potential consumers, too; they have contacted us. But they need such small volumes [of thermal energy] that opening the steam release for them is just impossible,” Hovakim Hovhannisyan concluded.
