The Association of Estonian Food Industry is examining the possibility of prohibiting the labeling of products in the Russian language, informed the Govorit Moskva radio of Russia.

The association noted that such a ban is theoretically doable. The State Service for Consumer Market, on the other hand, stated that the prohibition of Russian-language labels will not infringe on the rights of the buyers.

The Estonian government has imposed economic sanctions against Crimea and Sevastopol, which have seceded from Ukraine and joined Russia. Specifically, there is a ban on the import of goods from this peninsula.
