YEREVAN. – West is not offering Russia any option for the settlement of Ukrainian crisis, Russian political analyst Mikhail Alexandrov told Armenian News-NEWS.am commenting on the reports alleging Russia and Germany are engaged in a secret deal.

Alexandrov said there had been no serious proposals from the West, and may be now such an attempt is made.

The expert said such work is actually carried out, between Russia and Germany, but also between Russia and other European countries. He stressed that the level of pumping gas from Russia to Europe is not sufficient, and discussions are held to make it clear who will pay for the extra gas supplies.

“What is West proposing? It's unclear. Russia has proposed federalization of Ukraine and neutrality,” Alexandrov emphasized.
