YEREVAN. – Computer Research and Development Institute will work with the Yerevan-based free economic zone more regularly if there is larger number of residents, representative of the institute Arman Kuchukyan said.

“Many things in the free trade zone has been implemented, but much depends on funding. For this reason, we are moving forward gradually,” Kuchukyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

There are several residents working within free trade zone, and the more residents there are, the better is synergy between researchers and developers.

“As soon as there are many companies, we will see how to work. The number of companies depends on the economic situation and Armenia's investment attractiveness, as well as other factors,” Kuchukyan added.

The opening of “Alliance”, Armenia's first free economic zone, was held in July 2013. The free economic zone is managed by “Sitronics Armenia”, a subsidiary of Russia's Sitronics.
