Reporters of Georgian Imedi television Sandro Gochashvili and cameraman Georgiy Tskhelashvili were detained in Azerbaijani capital during the clashes following a football match of Neftchi Baku against Chikhura Sachkhere.

As soon as the game ended, the reporter and cameraman left the stadium to make a video with Georgian fans, Gochashvili said. The reporters saw Azerbaijani police officers taking the flags and pushing fans into a large bus, Gruziya Online reported.

“When we shot this footage, one of the officers ordered to detain us, we were forced into a car and were beaten. We asked why we and the fans were detained. There was no answer about us, but they said the fans were detained for shouting 'Armenia',” the reported said.

Police officers deleted all videos made outside the stadium.

Talking to haqqin.az, representative of Azerbaijani press service Eshan Zahidov said the reports are untrue.
