Georgian Defense Minister Irakly Alaslania met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov during his official visit to Azerbaijan.

The Ministers discussed prospects for cooperation in defense sector and regional security, ministry's press service reported.

The trilateral meeting of Georgian, Turkish and Azerbaijani defense ministers is planned for Tuesday. They will discuss prospects of trilateral cooperation with the focus on joint protection of strategic energy and transportation infrastructure in the region.
