YEREVAN. – Armenia may double exports of fruit and vegetables, canned food, juices, wine and brandy to Russia.

Amid Russia's sanctions against European goods, Armenia can strengthen its positions in the Russian marker, Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan said.

He said Russia has been the main importer of Armenian products for years, for dozens of years.

“Since Soviet times we have exported 70-75 percent of fruits and vegetables to Russia ,” the Minister added.

Karapertyan urged the canneries to draw attention to production of canned vegetables, as the Russian colleagues assure they are in high demand in the Russian market.
