A protest action in support of Levon Hayrapetyan was held near the Russian consulate in New York on Friday.
The participants were holding a flag of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and “Release Levon Haytrapetyan” posters, shows a video posted on Hayrapetyan's Facebook.
The first action in support of Levon Hayrapetyan was held in Yerevan on August 9.
Levon Hayrapetyan, 65, was detained in a Moscow airport on July 15 and subsequently arrested. On July 24, the Russian Federation Investigation Committee brought two criminal charges against him: embezzlement or misuse, and money laundering. To note, even though Hayrapetyan has health problems, he is still kept in prison.
