YEREVAN. – Armenia has increased its caviar exports to Russia in the first half of this year.
Artur Atoyan, who is head of the Armenian Fish Farmers Association, told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He added that the caviar production level in Armenia is the same, yet its consumption has dropped in the country. As a result, the Armenian fish farmers have an unsold surplus.
“And our producers are exporting [the caviar surplus] to Russia, where there is a demand, for which we definitely are very pleased,” Atoyan noted.
