Last year, the Russians have begun to be more tolerant towards the country’s immigrants.

Sociologists have found out that most Russian citizens do not see any preconditions for ethnic clashes in Russia, and there is less number of supporters of the “Russia for Russians” ideology.

At present, 76 percent of the Russians advise their government to restrict the flow of migrant workers into the country and create respective administrative obstacles. Sixteen percent, on the other hand, are not against this influx and they recommend their authorities to use this inflow for the benefit of Russia, analysts informed as a result of a Russia-wide survey, Interfax news agency reported.

As per the sociologists, the Russians’ friendliness towards immigrants has increased from the previous year.

In addition, the number of Russians who support restrictions to the Caucasus residents’—including Armenians’—flow into Russia also has dropped and is 38 percent, at present.
