French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Turkey is an ally of France. The answer came in response to a question asked by editor of Europe & Orient magazine Jan Varoujan Sirapian during a Twitter Q&A session.

Jan Varoujan Sirapian, Armenian by origin, asked whether Turkey is a reliable ally of France, given that Turkey supplied weapons to the Islamic State that is a terrorist organization, Nouvelles d'Arménie reported.

“Let's avoid caricatures. Turkey is an ally of France,” Fabius tweeted.

However, French Minister ignored another question: “When the secret services of an ally are helping terrorist Islamist organization “Islamic state”, this makes ask questions, does not it?”
