YEREVAN. – Azerbaijani authorities have handed over Hakob Injighulyan to a third country.

The ICRC office was informed on August 26, representative of Yerevan ICRC delegation Zara Amatuni told Armenian News-NEWS.am..

“"Before departure, the ICRC representatives visited him, in accordance with standard operating procedures,” Amatuni said.

The information was transferred to his family and the Armenian authorities.

On the night of August 8, 2013, Armenian soldier Hakob Injighulyan (born in 1991) had gotten lost and found himself in the territory under the control of Azerbaijan. The ICRC was able to meet with him only 12 days after his captivity.
