President of European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso said situation in Ukraine is a major concern.

The overall objective of the EU is to find solution to Ukrainian crisis based on the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence, as well as in strict compliance with international standards, he told reporters on Friday.

At the same time, the EU is very clear in its statement that Russia's recent behavior is contrary to international standards and principles, Interfax Ukraine reported.

President of the European Commission stressed that Russia must demonstrate willingness to cooperate and stop supplying weapons and human resources to pro-Russian activists in Ukraine.
