YEREVAN. – The Armenian tank specialists’ brilliant performance at the world tank biathlon, which was held in Russia, became the logical continuation of our army’s successes at the battlefield.

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan on Monday noted the aforementioned in his congratulatory address on Knowledge Day and the start of the new academic year in the country.

“This triumph will be long remembered, and this likewise bespeaks the ‘power’ of knowledge in the Armenian army.

“These days our youth had the opportunity to differentiate the false notables from the true heroes, who were at the focus of military operations. And learning a bitter lesson, the adversary [i.e., Azerbaijan] is still in shock.

“Owing to efforts by the military and political leadership of Armenia, there is no basis today for a full-scale war in the global sense. But the tension will be maintained because the enemy will seek a weak section in our defense.

“The adversary understands solely the language of force, and a clear display of the might of the Armenian army is the sole guarantee for the Republic of Armenia, the protection of Artsakh [i.e., Nagorno-Karabakh], and the maintenance of the triumphant ceasefire,” Ohanyan’s message specifically reads.
