YEREVAN. – An invitation addressed to Turkey's Erdogan will create a positive situation for Armenia, MP Edmon Marukyan said.
An invitation to visit Yerevan on April 24 next year will lead Turkey into stalemate and create positive situation for Armenia, the MP said after a close door meeting at the National Assembly. He explained if Erdogan visits Armenia it will be a problem for Turkey.
“If he comes to Armenia, it will indicate he recognizes Genocide,” Marukyan thinks.
Minister Nalbandian handed over a formal invitation to President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan after inauguration ceremony in Ankara last week.
