YEREVAN. – The facts that are recorded in Turkey over the last ten years suggest that President Recep Tayyip Ertogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu are the lesser of two evils for Armenia.

Non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party MP Aragats Akhoyan, who is also vice-chairman of the National Council of Western Armenians, noted the abovementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.

In his words, analysts assure that Erdogan and Davutoglu run a true Turkish policy.

“The positive steps are noticeable in Turkey; it is noticeable from our visits to Turkey and from the events organized there.

“Every year we organize conferences devoted to the anniversary of the death of Hrant Dink [the founder and chief editor of Agos Armenian weekly of Istanbul, who was killed on January 19, 2007 in front of his weekly’s office], during which we deliver remarks stating that Turkey has no future without the resolution of the Armenian Genocide issue. [And] numerous Turkish civil society representatives agree with this,” Akhoyan stressed.
