U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry made a surprise visit to Ankara, and to conduct negotiations with the Turkish authorities.

Kerry is already slated to meet with PM Ahmet Davutoglu, reported Sozcu daily of Turkey.

The US state secretary’s unannounced visit to Turkey has the objective of holding discussions on the fight against the Islamic State terrorist organization in Iraq and Syria, the Turkish press reported.

It is noted that, next, John Kerry will head from Ankara to the Egyptian capital city, Cairo.
