YEREVAN. – Air Armenia company suffered losses because of Russian state air corporation's announcement on suspending air navigation services for the company.

Air Armenia airline company Executive Director Arsen Avetisyan said problems are of technical character, as the bank, through which the transfers are made, is under sanctions.

“Such problems are solved through private talks, and I do not understand the reasons for public announcement that made our passengers worry much. Moreover, I do not understand why to announce something that will happen in 10 days,” Avetisyan said during a press conference on Friday.

The announcement spread by Russian media was followed by numerous calls from the concerned passengers who asked their money back.

“How can we explain thousands of people that we will continue flying as usual? So, we lost a lot of passengers,” Avetisyan said.

He assured that the company is able to pay the recurrent debt of $405,000 that makes one tenth of the monthly turnover.
