YEREVAN. – The “Green Lane” NGO will hold the Festival of Rural Life and Traditions. The event will take place on October 10, in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.

The said NGO aims to contribute to the development of agriculture and the village life in Armenia.

The festival will seek to raise funds for “Green Lane” and provide assistance to women farmers who work outside Yerevan.

The event will bring together farmer groups from Armenia and Georgia, businessmen from the agriculture sector, and women’s groups.

At the exhibition and sale (festival), the farmers will have booths where they will present their crops, harvest samples, crafts, along with traditional home-made food, and fresh and processed agricultural product samples.

The event activities are: Exhibition, sale and promotion of farmer produced fruits, vegetables, greens and traditional meals; awards for Best Presentation of Farmer Products (Best Booth) and Visitor’s Choice; and a live music concert.

And on October 11, a national conference, titled “Sustainable Agriculture: The Key to a Green Future,” will be convened in the Armenian capital city.
