We are concerned by the fact of accumulation of arms, which is a threat to peace and negotiations, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair James Warlick told reporters.

His answer came in response to RFE/RL Armenian service's question whether Russia's mediation efforts are sincere amid weapons sale to Azerbaijan.

The American diplomat stressed that he is closely working with his Russian counterpart within the OSCE Minsk Group, and despite having different positions on other issues, they have agreed to work together. Warlick said he is hopeful the mediators will be able to achieve lasting peace in Karabakh.

The diplomat said he is concerned over the violence, deaths and injuries at the line of contact. He called to respect ceasefire and to put an end to violence.
