YEREVAN. – NATO is not imposing foreign policy priorities on member countries of the Alliance, head of NATO office in the South Caucasus William Lahue said during Yerevan-hosted conference.

His comment came in response to a question about the closed border between Turkey, member of the Alliance, and Armenia.

Each of the member countries of NATO, according to William Lahyua, is a sovereign state.

Accordingly, the question of the boundaries are foreign policy issues of individual countries. The question of Turkey's borders is Turkey's matter, and the country itself must settle the issue, he said.
