YEREVAN. – Armenia must become a safe haven for each and every Armenian, and a country where one’s own abilities and accumulated knowhow and knowledge are manifested to the utmost.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan noted the above-said in his address at Friday’s official opening of the 5th Armenia-Diaspora Conference in capital city Yerevan.

“The Government of Armenia is taking steps to ensure a socioeconomic boost in the country. We are implementing a policy whose objective is to ensure equal conditions for all. Foreign companies need to feel comfortable and safe in Armenia; we give this guarantee.

“Your practical suggestions aimed at Armenia’s development, economic progress will not be disregarded. The government has adopted an open policy of investment projects. The time is long overdue for passing from philanthropy to mutually beneficial partnership,” Abrahamyan specifically stated.

The PM stressed that the Armenian diaspora also plays an invaluable role in the process of international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.

“The international community is adopting the concept that the Armenian Genocide recognition is inevitable, and this factor will contribute to the strengthening of regional stability and the formation of a climate of mutual trust. I am convinced that, thanks to the joint efforts, we will achieve the restoration of historical justice,” the Armenia Premier also said, in particular.
