Chairman of the “Brothers of Italy – National Alliance”Giorgia Meloni handed over to President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan a white bracelet marking the campaign against persecution of Christians all over the globe.

President of Armenia got a symbolic gift at the end of his visit to the Basilica of St. Bartholomew in Rome, Qelsi Quotidiano reported.

The chapels of this church contain references about Christian martyrs, including the Armenian Genocide victims. Sargsyan laid a wreath in front of the main altar of the basilica, and paid tribute to the victims.

On Thursday President Sargsyan arrived in the Holy See (the Vatican) on an official visit. In the Vittoriano Museum Complex in Rome, he participated in and addressed at the official opening of a photo exhibition on Christianity.
