YEREVAN. – The four non-government National Assembly (NA) factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia (PAP), ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) were expecting a more adequate demeanor from the authorities in connection with the twelve-point demands.

PAP NA Faction member Stepan Margaryan told the abovementioned to reporters on Tuesday, in response to the query on which of these demands the authorities have met, when the deadline to meet these demands is expiring.

“I believe this is a non-constructive approach by the authorities towards the existing problems. I can say that we may note several points around which the authorities have taken some insignificant steps. But the government basically undertook nothing,” Margaryan said.

He noted that the “parliamentary four” will soon express its shared position in this respect.

Stepan Margaryan also stated that the “parliamentary trio” (Armenian National Congress, PAP, and Heritage) will announce about its future courses of action during Friday’s demonstration at Liberty Square in capital city Yerevan.

“We want to solve the problems, and we don’t plan on scaring anyone,” he added.

On June 10, the aforementioned four non-ruling parliamentary forces issued their twelve-point demands from the authorities. These demands specifically refer to the mandatory funded pension plan, the restart of the operations of capital city Yerevan’s Nairit chemical rubber plant, a revision of the fines for traffic violations, passing to 100-percent proportional parliamentary elections, and the refusal of any international integration that will undermine the Armenia-Karabakh single economic space. And the “parliamentary four” set September 30 as deadline for the complete fulfillment of these demands.
