YEREVAN. – Armenian military serviceman Hakob Injighulyan, who was held captive in Azerbaijan for more than a year and who returned to Armenia in the early morning hours on Thursday, will be taken to medical examination.

Armenia defense minister’s press secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He noted that once Injighulyan’s health condition is checked, it will become clear whether or not he can continue to his military service.

The Armenian MOD will make a respective decision solely after the conclusion on Injighulyan’s health.

Hakob Injighulyan earlier stated that he plans to carry out the remaining nine months of his military service in the Armenian Armed Forces.
