Special representative of Russian president on cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvidkoy calls for public diplomacy between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Karabakh talks are at a stage when certain political decisions should be made, he told Vesti.az.
“I think public diplomacy is still needed. People need to understand why certain political decisions are made,” Shvidkoy added.
The meetings of Armenian and Azerbaijani public and cultural figures, lawmakers and media representatives have been held since 2007 on the initiative of Armenian and Azerbaijani ambassadors to Russia and special representative Mikhail Shvidkoy.
