Ramzan Kadyrov, who is Head of the Chechen Republic which is a federal subject of Russia, has criticized the organizers of a horse race in Germany for not awarding the prize for the victory of his horse, Zazu, in the race, the Russian Kommersant daily reported.

“They say in Berlin that the horse, being a man’s friend, falls under the same sanctions as its master, and, just like a man, it must answer.

“It turns out that Zazu is guilty for everything that happens in the world.

“That’s why the German politicians have spread unto the animal their shameful track-record of the past century,” the Russian daily quoted Kadyrov’s comment on Instagram.

Ramzan Kadyrov is on the list of Russia officials against whom the Western countries have imposed sanctions in connection with the Ukrainian crisis.
