YEREVAN. – Armenia's Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglaryan said he has no desire to become a deputy prime minister.

“I have not received such a proposal. No proposal, no need to refuse,” he said, commenting on the rumors about his possible appointment.

In reply to a reporter's question whether the minister wants to assume the post, Beglaryan added he has no desire to become a deputy PM.

Last week President Sargsyan signed the decree on relieving Armen Gevorgyan of his duties as Deputy Prime Minister and Territorial Administration Minister.

Gevorgyan had submitted a letter of resignation and that he will be working in the private sector.

But it is yet unknown who will succeed Armen Gevorgyan as the next Deputy PM and Territorial Administration Minister.
