German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the EU is ready to discuss trade issues with the Eurasian Economic Union, RIA Novosti reported.
Last month Russian leader Vladimir Putin said his country would welcome discussions on the Eurasian and European Union issues.
The treaty on formation of the Eurasian Economic Union will come into force starting from January 1, 2015. The treaty on Armenia's accession was signed in Minsk on October 10.
