YEREVAN. – Armenian government once again submitted to parliament a draft bill on protection of personal data of citizens.

The bill that was once rejected by the parliament suggests to prohibit any processing of personal data of citizens, except for expressly designated legal purposes. Moreover, data processing should be limited to only those purposes. Furthermore, the personal data will be processed only when the bearer is aware of such actions.

Collection and storage of information containing state, official, bank, notary secrets will be regulated by separate legal acts.
