YEREVAN. – Armenia's Prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan has called on the Central Bank to closely monitor the moves by the participants of foreign currency market in order to prevent cases of speculation.

The Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent has addressed prime minister's spokesperson Gohar Poghosyan, to clarify the situation in financial market.

In a reply message, Hovik Abrahamyan said that in the current situation it is very important for market participants to adhere to all rules and regulations.

“I do not rule out that some participants are fishing in troubled waters experimenting. So I appeal to the Central Bank, as the industry regulator, to closely monitor the moves by the participants of foreign currency market in order to prevent cases of speculation,” the message reads.

In case of speculations, PM urged the Central Bank to use legal instruments.
