YEREVAN. – Air Armenia plans to become a transit carrier from China to European countries, company's director general Arsen Avetisyan told reporters on Friday.

The company planned to resume flights starting from December 20, but the foreign investors asked to wait a little.

“Therefore, we want to resume flights from March 2015,” he explained.

At the moment two Airbuses of the company are in the Netherlands for maintenance.

The company is holding talks with one of the European companies, Avetisyan said, refusing to name the company because of lack of interline agreement. Air Armenia and this company plan to carry out transit flights via Yerevan from China and Southeast Asia countries, he assured.
