YEREVAN. - Air Armenia will repay service charges to Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport after resuming regular flights, Director General of the airport (Armenia International Airports CJSC) Marcelo Vende told Armenia News - NEWS.am.

He stressed that the schedule of repayment has not been specified yet.

“We are waiting for the restart of their operations, after that they will start to repay,” Vende added.

He did not disclose the amount of overdue payments as a matter of private negotiations.

Earlier, on Dec. 19, the Director General of Air Armenia Arsen Avetisyan told that the company had been inclined to resume regular flights from Dec. 20, however, a new investor from Ukraine (East Prospect Fund) who has recently bought 49% shares of the carrier, advised them to wait until Mar. 2015.

Air Armenia is the only active passenger air carrier based in Armenia.
